Getting Acquainted (Part 2)

Right before Shelia leaves for the ladies room the waitress brings a note to me from a gentlemen who’s been observing us since we’ve been at the bistro. Shelia makes a sly remark before exiting “You better watch out for undercover men.” I read the note: “Hello Beautiful would it be rude if I came over to get acquainted?” Looking back at the gentlemen I smile whispering and giving him a polite no thank you head shake just before leaving my table. Reaching the bistro’s entrance I hear the words “Excuse me!”, I silently utter the words “Crap!” I tightly squeeze my eyes shut knowing it was the gentlemen who sent the note. I get the strength to turn towards him, repeatedly pushing my polite button. I manage to speak kindly “yes”. He replies “I'm sorry I just can't let you walk out of my life like that.” Are you kidding me? Is this the spell binding line he uses towards me? And before thinking twice about banging the polite button I speak out “well, lets pretend I was never in It like that.” Whoa! That was kind of harsh, but I really wasn’t interested and have already declined his first offer. He was becoming a pain. He continues to drag on after my second decline, so I interrupt “Look your an attractive man, I'm just not ready to become involve with a man right now. I don't mean to be so cold.” Finally, now let me get the hell out of here before he request my name. Turning to walk away I hear someone scream out “Lucy come on!” he say’s “Ahh, Lucy, what a beautiful name, please just take my card no Obligations we could get acquainted with each other and see where it leads.” I’m thinking to myself, thanks a lot Shelia. I take the card and leave and I make sure to give Shelia the worst look possible before walking out. Of course she has a confused demeanor speaking out “What did I do?”
